Hammers coach returns
Bermuda later this month to conduct what will be the sixth annual XL Capital Bermuda Youth Soccer Workshop.
The three-day clinic kicks off on June 13 at Berkeley Institute field and will be open to youngsters between the ages of eight and 15. Lampard, one of England's leading Premier Division coaches, will be assisted by several local volunteer coaches.
Workshop organiser Alan Pailing expects in the region of 60 young players at the event, which will run from 4.30 p.m. to 7.30 p.m. from June 13-16. "We're very lucky to have Frank here again,'' said Pailing, a vice president with the insurance giant. "It is not often that a professional at this level comes to the Island to do any type of coaching for our youngsters. This workshop is really for them.
"We always have a great turnout of youngsters wanting to be coached by one of the best. Plus, while he's here, Frank will also be helping local coaches develop their skills.'' Lampard's soccer career included more than 600 games for the East London club and international appearances for England.
