Hot-shot Shaun hits 20th goal
consecutive time on Saturday when he netted twice to lead Manchester City to a 3-1 come-from-behind victory over Nottingham Forest.
The Bermudian striker also had a hand in Robert Taylor's equaliser in the 31st minute as City fought back from a bad start.
Struggling Forest had taken a surprise lead in the seventh minute when Chris Bart-Williams scored a spectacular effort from 30 yards into the top corner.
But City took the lead just four minutes after Taylor's equaliser when top scorer Goater lobbed the ball over the advancing 'keeper Dave Beasant after breaking through the middle of the Forest defence.
The Bermudian's 20th goal of the season came in the 83rd minute when Goater headed home from a Mark Kennedy free kick.
With 17 league games still remaining Goater is on course for a 25-goal season as City aim for a second straight promotion, this time to the Premier Division.
Last season Goater netted 21 goals to lead the club out of the Second Division and is now showing he can score goals at a higher level.
City remain second in the standings, four points behind leaders Charlton who also had an away win on the weekend.
