Clearwater Beach, with more than a hundred eager children and several frenzied parents sure to be in attendance.
The Ironkids event stands out as the largest single-day junior triathlon event and this year has three new categories aimed to create further incentive for participants.
The school award -- for schools that have a minimum of 10 entrants in the triathlon -- is the most lucrative, with a Gateway Essential 433c computer valued at $2,500 going to the institution fortunate enough to have its name drawn.
Other awards include most improved and best boy/best girl in each of the 7-10 and 11-14 age groups.
Additionally the event will start at a new time this year, with the races getting underway at 3.00 p.m.
