runners departing today for the popular event.

The group will be headed by two well-known local female residents, Maria Conroy-Haydon and Lynn Kynoch. Other members are Ed Gomez, Brian Peck, Cal Steede, Steve and Sandy Lund, George Correia, Moira Scuphan, Tom and Debbie Thorsteinson and Harry Patchett.

It will be the first time Cal Steede, Steve and Sandy Lund will tackle the gruelling course. Although Bermuda veteran Ray Ming is not travelling with the group, he is still expected to make his usual appearance in the race which starts at noon.
