five-game exhibition thriller at the Devonshire courts on Saturday.

Brett, ranked sixth in the world, got the better of last year's world champion, who currently lies third in the rankings behind the new world champion Jansher Khan and second-placed Chris Ditmar.

A closely-contest encounter saw Brett take the opening game 9-8, before Rodney came back with 10-9 and 9-6 victories to make it 2-1. Brett then levelled the score with a 9-2 game, rounding out a 3-2 win with a 9-7 margin of victory in the final game.

The appreciative crowd was treated to an entertaining game which produced some unbelievable rallies between the two Australians.

The battle of the Martins was preceded by two games featuring one of the world's top women squash players Danielle Drady.

Drady's first test was against Bermuda's woman champion Denise Kyme, who put up a valiant fight against the talented Australian before going down 9-1, 9-6.

Bermuda's veteran men's champion Bob Stewart was up next and he made a promising start taking the first game 9-7. But the skills of the world number five finally proved two much, Stewart losing the remaining games 9-2 and 9-3.
