yesterday, resting comfortably at Yeovil District Hospital in Somerset, England.
A hospital spokesman said that Gray was in a stable condition and they were expecting a complete recovery from injuries sustained during the Montacute Horse Trials when his horse Somers Deveraux landed on top of him. The 1984 and 1988 Olympian sustained a broken leg and a cracked and dislocated shoulder in the accident.
Gray had been going through final preparations for this month's Summer games along with Mary-Jane Tumbridge and Nicola DeSousa. His enforced absence from Barcelona means that the pair will have to compete as individuals rather than as a three-person team.
