One half of Cup decided
A hat trick from Sakena Clarke boosted Rude Girls into the final of the women's FA Cup with an overpowering effort against Dandy Stars on Saturday night at BAA.
Inspired by a three-goal blitz in each half, Rude Girls now await to see who their opponents will be from the other semi-final match-up between BAA and Wolves on March 12. It was their all-out attacking style of play that powered Rude Girls to victory with Sharmaine Simmons, Tiffany Swan and Shivon Washington leading the way.
Rude Girls led 3-0 at the half on goals by Clarke after 30 and 42 minutes and Chavonne Furbert after 10 minutes. Substitute Tamisha Darrell made it 4-0 after 63 minutes with Furbert and Clarke adding others after 75 and 90 minutes respectively. Dandy Stars had a few scoring opportunities only to be denied by the solid defence along with fine goal-keeping by Elisha Joell.
