DARTS DRT Winter League play of the Bermuda Darts Association began this week with several matches.

A slight change in the rules has come into play for the new season, with the trebles being eliminated and a quad game one leg 801 implemented in its place to start matches.

Meanwhile, Belmont emerged as the big winners on opening night, beating BAA II 7-0 spurred by the talents of Gregor McQueen, Terry Cartwright and Steven Hayward.

McQueen started things off in tallying a 130 and was followed by perfect scores of 180 each by Cartwright and Hayward.

The only consolation for BAA was a triumph in the 1001.

In other First Division action BAA I defeated Nationals 4-3 in a tense affair that had Nationals get off to a good start in taking the quad only to have BAA come back to take the singles, both doubles as well as the 1001.
