Russell leads Club romp

Dennis Russell scored a hat-trick and substitute Michael Parsons scored twice to lead Social Club to this comfortable triumph over Hamilton Parish at Bernard Park and third place in the First Division.

They took a 1-0 lead through Yusef Richardson after 10 minutes only to have Sean Dill level the score a minute later when he scored a penalty for Parish.

But Social Club shortly re-established their edge and went ahead 2-1 on Russell's first goal after 15 minutes. Then he added another after 35 minutes to give them a 3-1 lead at the half.

After 46 minutes he completed his hat-trick to put them 4-1 up and then Parsons came on to add two more after 87 and 89 minutes.

However before Parsons struck substitute Corey Hill pulled one back for Parish when he converted a penalty after 82 minutes Paget 1, St. George's 4 St. George's closed out their 1999-2000 campaign in style with a 4-1 thrashing of Paget at Southampton Oval.

A second half hat-trick by Yusaff Pitt spurred the east enders to victory, the lanky striker scoring in the 55th, 64th and 90th minutes.

St. George's led 1-0 at the break on the tails of a 38th minute strike by Ryan Steede, before Dwayne Bean equalized in the 48th minute via the penalty spot.

At White Hill Somerset Eagles won by default over Prospect.
