Second Division round-up

Hamilton Parish scored twice in the last 19 minutes to seal victory over bottom team Paget at Southampton Oval.

Parish had led at the half on a 24th minute goal from Peter Madeiros before Curtis Azhar equalised for Paget in the 55th minute. An own goal by Perry Saunders restored the Parish lead in the 71st minute before substitute Donovan Thompson struck the far post with a shot soon after.

Joe Lathan completed the scoring from the penalty spot in the 86th minute, after a foul by goalkeeper Michael Stovell.

Dev. Cougars 3 BAA 0 Devonshire Cougars remained the only unbeaten team in the Second Division after this convincing win over BAA at Devonshire Rec. on Friday night lifted them to the top of the standings.

Philip Clarke, Keith Smith and Wali Salaam (direct from a corner) netted for Cougars who led 2-0 at the half.

Social Club 0 Prospect 2 A goal in each half by skipper Dwayne Leverock and John Richmond gave Prospect a decisive victory in this Second Division game at PHC.

Leverock put his team ahead with a fine effort after 41 minutes and Richmond put them two goals up two minutes after play restarted.

The game featured a lot of misses, primarily by Andrew Rollins of Prospect and Dean Young of Social Club.

St. David's 2 Wolves 2 These two promotion hopefuls were left to share the points after a 2-2 draw at St.David's, a result which left St.David's with just one win in five outings.

Wolves, who won their first three matches in the league, have now been replaced in first place by Devonshire Cougars, as just three points separate the top four teams.
