Soccer star Swan honoured
Brewster Academy Fall Sports Awards Assembly for his part played with the 1996 championship men's varsity soccer team.
The senior midfielder contributed a goal and four assists to the school's effort, helping them remain undefeated in league play while earning a berth in the prestigious New England Prep School Invitational soccer tournament.
Noted was Swan's leadership and deceptive speed which made him a constant threat in attack.
Swan is the son of Gerry and Sharon Swan. His brother, Gerry, also attended Brewster as a member of the class of 1992 and is now a student at Clemson University.
Brewster Academy, located in Wolfeboro, New Hampshire, has served as a springboard to higher learning for many young Bermudians over the years. The institution is a co-educational, independent secondary school for grades nine to post-graduate.
Admissions director Paul Amadio is presently in Bermuda and will be available for interested parents and prospective students today at The Rosemont guest house from 6-8 p.m., as well as throughout the weekend.
