The annual five mile Labour Day Race, which traditionally kicks off the road running season, takes place on Monday, starting at 9 a.m. in front of TCD on
The course takes runners east along Parsons Road, turning right onto Angle Street then left onto Union Street and continuing along Front Street to Pitts Bay Road, over Cox's Hill to the Spanish Point roundabout. From there they head east on North Shore Road before turning right onto Black Watch Pass and right again past the Tennis Stadium to Victoria Street before taking a left to Union Street.
Entry fee is $10 while there's a $12 late fee after today's 5.00 p.m.

Race numbers will be issued on race day in front of Co-op between 8.00 and 8.45 a.m.
Prizes will be awarded to the first three male and female finishers in each of the following age categories -- 18-39, Masters (40-49) and Senior Masters (50 and over).
There will also be a junior male and female category for those under 18.
DARTS DRT Five top American Darts Organisation players will be in Bermuda for exhibition challenge matches next week.
On Friday, September 6 they will be at BAA at 8.00 p.m. while on the following night they will be at Sandys Boat Club, also at 8.00.
The visiting players include US World Cup team members Mitch Payton and Wade Wilcox, and Chad Johnson one of America's rising stars.
Sue Qualls, a 1995 World Cup player, and newcomer Nancy Huntoon, the current US women's prizemoney leader, complete the visiting squad.
