David Yates won the men's points competition, by two from Kris Hedges Yates.

Margaret Hateley was the top woman, four points ahead of Jennifer Fisher.

Hedges and Yates competed head to head in the Lindo's 3,000 metres with Yates winning -- it looked the same in the Estrela Lights 1,500m after Yates built a good lead at the halfway mark. But Hedges hung in and pulled back the deficit to win by a 30-second margin.

The star races of the evening were the Rego Furniture 400m and Franklin Travel 800m. In the 400m, all the runners were in a close bunch coming into the final straight, with Yates coming through for victory in one of the best races of the series.

In the 800m, the final race of the series, one point separated Hedges and Yates with the title set to go to whomever finished higher while Hateley needed only to place to clinch the women's crown.

Hateley started strongly and never looked in doubt of being caught. Sharif Taylor also had an impressive run overcoming a 58-second handicap for second in 2:01.

Hedges started seven seconds in front of Yates and battled hard, but six races in one night took its toll and Yates came away with the victory and the overall title.

The King of the Sprints (top combined score from 100m and 200m) went to Hedges and Yates collected Mr. Duracell (top combined score from 400m; 800m; 1,500m; 3,000m).
