Trojans forced to hang on

Trojans hung on desperately with 10 men in a thrilling finale to record their fourth Premier Division victory of the season at Somerset on Saturday night.

They raced into a three-goal lead inside the first 21 minutes, But Town fought back vigorously late in the game and pulled back two goals, both scored by substitute Reggie Tucker in the last eight minutes after Trojans goalkeeper Keenan Tucker had been sent off.

The home side were ahead inside 60 seconds. Andrew Rahman delivered a superb ball from a free-kick and Karl Roberts headed home. It was 2-0 in the seventh minute as Curtis Grant crossed for Wade to convert.

Trojans, oozing confidence, got their third in the 21st minute.

This time, Wade was the provider, curling in a centre for Rodney Bascome to head in.

The introduction of substitute Seyoum Tuzo in place of Pernell Douglas seemed to do Town some good, as substitute Raymond Beach sent Darron Simons clear and, as the striker tried to take the ball around Keenan Tucker, he was upended. Referee Stuart Crockwell awarded a penalty and showed Tucker the red card. Andre Bean took over as goalkeeper, but had no chance with Tucker's penalty.

Town's second goal came in the fourth minute of injury time, after Furbert's volley had been beaten away. Tucker was on hand to sweep home.
