Way burns Frost in Open final

Breezing through a watered-down field, Way clinched the title with a 6-2, 6-3 win over Nick Frost in the men's A final on Saturday.
But Way's hopes for another crown were derailed in the men's doubles final, as he and his brother, Brian, the top seeds, were beaten 3-6, 2-6 by Mike Curry and James Collieson.
Eugene Simmons defeated Rob Schenone 6-0, 6-3 in the B final.
Monique Ternier upset Elizabeth Stewart 6-4, 7-6 for the ladies singles crown.
Stewart and Ailsa Campbell also lost in the doubles final, 6-1, 4-6, 3-6 to Wendy Frost and Kelly Holland.
Frost and Coleridge Place won the mixed doubles title, 6-1, 6-4 over Christiane Allaire and Mike Curry.
In the senior men's final, Vernal Davis defeated Mark Ray 6-0, 6-1, while in doubles, it was Mark Ray and Oliver Bain over Ray Knight and Bernd Miller, 6-2, 3-6, 7-5.
