scholarship to Howard University in Washington DC.

Woodley, who is due to graduate from Warwick Secondary at the end of the current term, will begin studies at Howard in August.

PLP MP Dr. Ewart Brown, a Howard alumnus and member of the school's board of directors, has been instrumental in securing the scholarship which presents the opportunity for a free education as well as a high level of competition.

Woodley recently won a gold medal at the Carifta Games in Barbados and has also qualified for this summer's Commonwealth Games in Victoria, Canada.
