But, as has been tradition, an even bigger prize is on offer for anyone who scores a hole-in-one at the 18th -- an all-expenses paid trip to the World Golf Championships to be held in Jamaica in December.
This year's tournament marks the last time such a prize will be on offer as Johnnie Walker have announced the withdrawal of their sponsorship from the Jamaica tournament which this year will attract top players such as Greg Norman, Bernhard Langer, Ernie Els, Nick Faldo and Corey Pavin.
The Ocean View tournament is set for September 22, 23 and 24 with professionals playing all three days and amateurs the final two days off three quarters handicap. Entry deadline is September 15.
, MOTOCROSS SCR Bermuda motocross rider Jamal Hassell clinched his first victory overseas at the Byron Race Track Senior Mini-Series in Illinois on Sunday.
The 15-year-old, who has been touring the US for the last two months in a bid to get more exposure, proved too good for the other 22 riders in the 80cc class.
Additionally, the youngster placed third overall in an event in which Wisconsin took on neighbouring state Illinois. Hassell rode independently, again in the 80cc class.
Hassell's impressive riding in the US has earned him an invitation back to Illinois for the Motocross Olympics in November.
ROAD RUNNING RUN Swan's Running Club will hold their annual general meeting tonight at the Department of Youth and Sport, beginning at 7.00. On the agenda will be the election of officers and the president's report.
SOCCER SOC North Village club members are reminded of Thursday's annual general meeting at the club, starting at 7.00 p.m. All members are urged to attend.
