Bermuda's undisputed king of road racing completed the 13.2-mile course in one hour, nine minutes and 36 seconds to cross the finishing line more than eight minutes clear of his closest rival Jay Donawa and 13 seconds inside his previous record. The 33-year-old's impressive triumph drew him level with Ed Sherlock at the top of the list of all-time winners.
