In first spot was Lady Jacqueline Swan -- who was teaming up with Graham Fenton -- storming ahead with a 101 -point lead over Alan Douglas and Debbie Roberts, who were in second place. Close behind in third were Bill Tucker and Brian Mason, from Allentown, Pennsylvania, and in fourth were Nea Willits and Lynn O'Neill.
In the second session, Tucker and Mason posted another solid finish to win the event by 10 points over Ellasue Chaitt and Jim Linhart, who finished second.
Sewing up third was Mike Cappelletti and Susan Green.
Four Bermuda players also grabbed the top spots in the non-Masters event after the first session of Flight A play. First were Mona-Marie Gambrill and Ken Krassy followed by Garfield Karpiak and Gerry Vandermeer in second and Linda Mahaffy and Phil Shadick in third.
GOLF GLF Dennis Lowe was the gross winner of the monthly medal at Port Royal on Sunday, carding a 77.
Zane DeSilva beat Adrian Arnold by retrogression to win the net division for nine-and-under handicappers after both shot 71s. In the 10-18 handicap division, Erva Robinson shot a 71 to win by a stroke over Alan Cleave.
David Jenkins carded a 68 net to win the 19-and-higher handicap division by two strokes over Teresa Taguchi.
Erva Robinson and J.Burns were the closest to the pin winners amongst the women on the third and 16th holes while E.Fox and R.Lines were the men's winners on the eighth and 12th holes.
