Anfossi & Butterfield closed out the doubleheader with another loss -- this time 15-12 against Powerscourt.
Anfossi & Butterfield did get some firepower going with Martin Charbonneau and Johnny Hasnain each clubbing three hits for almost half the team's runs, but Powerscourt held on behind the solid pitching of Tom Comer.
Losing pitcher Tony Smith was beat up mostly by Dan Comer (three hits, three RBI) and Brett Kohli (three hits, two RBI).
Powerscourt lost their second game when they were narrowly defeated by Elbow Beach, 15-14.
Propelling Elbow Beach were Ritchie Foggo and Bruce DeGrilla who each had three hits with Foggo doing the most damage with a homer and four RBI.
Kohli again led the offensive thrust for Powerscourt, this time with a pair of doubles while driving in five runs. Steve Western also aided the losing cause with two hits and three RBI.
Mark Conklin was the winner while Tom Comer suffered the loss.
AIM topped Cooper & Lines 13-9, led by Rod Toms (two home runs) and Tom Lamont (two doubles).
Carol Mitchell and Mike Evans provided some offensive muscle for Cooper & Lines, but not enough for Dan Fronchak to avoid the pitching loss. Fraser Gray was the winning pitcher.
Wildcats had an easy time over Team Fashions with a 16-1 victory. James Thomas and Gary Knight erupted for five hits between them, accounting for six of the team's 16 runs.

NETBALL NET 7-Up Netts rolled to the Saturday League title in championship style when they defeated last year's winners AICO 35-25 at Bernard Park over the weekend.
The triumph gave 7-Up Netts an unassailable four point lead over AICO and seven ahead of Cardinals, both of which have completed their league schedule -- 7-Up Netts have one game outstanding.
Saturday's match remained close throughout the opening two quarters, before 7-Up opened up in the second half and in the end cruised to a comfortable win.
Carolyn Binns led 7-Up Netts' onslaught -- scoring 30 goals -- with Denise Perinchief (four) and Kim Minors (one) notching the remainder.
The lone remaining match in the Saturday League had Cardinals close out the year in winning fashion, blasting North Village 29-8 in a match that was all but over by the half.

For 7-Up Netts the weekend proved quite momentous as they registered a virtual clean sweep of all the silverware on offer.
Not only did their senior teams take honours in both divisions, but their youth also shone with the Under 17s and Under 13s successful in their ventures, seizing their respective Knock-out competitions as well the league with much credit going to the efforts of coach Marilyn Parfitt.
DARTS DRT Terry Cartwright and Lynn Somner of RAA are the new doubles champions in the Womens League, after beating Lucille Foggo and Agatha Dickinson of neighbours East End Mini Yacht Club 2-1 in the final.
Cartwright and Somner defeated June Bleeker and Doris Pickering of St.
George's D&SC I 2-0 in the preliminary round. Then they went on to defeat Ruth Holder and Diana Cabral of St. George's II 2-0.
Their fine run continued with a win over Police Club pair Mary Rosser and Fanny Churm in a tight 2-1 game. That put them into the semifinals against Mary Phillipson and Margaret Bleeker of St. George's II whom they beat 2-0 to move against the final against Foggo and Dickinson.
Foggo and Dickinson fought well but had to settle for second best as Cartwright and Somner came away winners with a 2-1 score. Foggo and Dickinson beat Candice Clarke and Margaret Harvey in the preliminary round before going on to defeat Rita Smith and Valeria Steede of RAA 2-1.
Elizabeth Simons and Karen Hutton of BAA were the next victims in the semifinals, going down to Foggo and Dickinson 2-1.

GOLF GLF It was incorrectly stated in yesterday's newspaper that Roger Harvey beat Dennis Lowe in the first flight final of the Bermuda Men's Amateur Championships at Mid Ocean Club. Lowe was in fact the winner, beating Harvey on the 19th, after stopping Matthew Bellis at the same juncture in the semifinals.
