BBC to focus on Goater
be broadcast throughout Europe this Saturday morning.
BBC Five Live will focus on the Bermudian striker's prodigious talent when they talk with him, his friends and family for a programme that will air at 9.00 a.m. London time.
A BBC spokesman said the broadcast would not be carried by Five Live's sister station, BCC World Service, which is received in Bermuda. But it could be heard on Five Live's international website.
Goater is currently top scorer with 11 goals for relegation-threatened Manchester City and was also their top marksman in leading the club to promotion last season.
Earlier in his career, Goater was also the leading scorer at Rotherham and Bristol City.
Meanwhile, Goater is expected to get the green light for City's crunch clash with Ipswich Town.
The Blues face Champions League hopefuls Town on Monday and Chelsea the following weekend in their final two fixtures.
Goater's fitness was a concern for City boss Joe Royle at the end of last Saturday's 1-0 win over West Ham in which he scored the winner.
"We have a number of niggling injuries, but I am hoping everyone will be fit,'' said Royle. "Shaun had tight groins, while Paul Dickov had a blow round his knee which we thought at first was his knee ligaments. We don't think it is as bad now.''
