Bermuda powered their way to a comprehensive win over Jamaica in the evening match last night as Richard Brewer had a convincing 3-0 win over Noel Williams in Men's A action while Jan Brewer beat veteran Dougie Beckford 3-1 in a much closer contest. Number one Tommy Sherratt came from behind to win his game 3-2 while in the final match of the night 17-year-old Nick Kyme continued his winning way with a comfortable 3-0 win over Patrick Chin. Chin took a 4-2 lead in the first game but Kyme began playing with great power and speed to take the game 9-4. Chin's deft tough strokes kept him in the game by Kyme was too strong and took the second game 9-2 and the third 9-5, giving him two wins so far in the tournament. Cayman had another impressive day, with victories in 17 of the 20 matches against the Bahamas. The men's A team led by Caribbean champion John McCrury showed why they are ranked the strongest team in the tournament, winning 5-0. The Cayman ladies won 4-1 with Stephanie Johnson of the Bahamas showing she is the strongest female player in the tournament with her sole win. It was a similiar score for the veterans with only Joe Johnson in the plus column for the Bahamas.
