Colin Paynter, Laurie Zuill, Adrian Dill, Paul Christie, Corey Trott, Terrence Rance, Axel Bubenzer and head instructor Richard Smith joined nearly 150 others at Camp Woodstock under the leadership Master Sang H. Kim.

Kim, a seventh dan blackbelt master and professional martial arts teacher, is widely known for his series of instructional videos and books.

Guests at the remote log cabin were required to participate in sunrise meditation, kicking drills, self-defence scenarios, short stick combat, taekwondo techniques and lectures on spirit and discipline.

SWIMMING SW Bermuda's Masters swimmers hold their last meet of the year on October 20 at the BASA pool (4.30 p.m.) with 17 events scheduled for both men and women.

The meet also gives swimmers a final chance to prepare, under race conditions, for next year's Latin American and Caribbean Masters Championships in Mexico.

Entries should be submitted to Barbara Waldo at the BASA pool, Duncan Newby at Warwick Academy or Sportseller in Hamilton by Friday, October 18.
