February 28 and what went into the official Bermuda Football Association records, almost cost Vasco a spot in this year's Martonmere Cup competition which begins on Tuesday night.

However, the error has been sorted out, both clubs have been notified and it is now official that Vasco and not PHC will line up against North Village in the 7.00 opener.

The Royal Gazette's final standings had Vasco clinching a spot after finishing ahead of PHC on goal difference, but the BFA's official standings put PHC ahead of Vasco after Vasco's 3-0 win over BAA on February 28 mistakenly went into their files as a scoreless draw.

"For a matter of public record the (Royal Gazette) standings were correct,'' said BFA general secretary David Sabir yesterday. "All teams have been notified and Vasco will play Tuesday night in place of PHC against North Village.''
