BFA stand by decision
Community Club from the FA Cup draw this season.
Paget hit out at the BFA this week, blaming the association after they failed to pay registration fees. They claimed the BFA previously allowed them to pay the fees over the course of the season and in a Letter to the Editor yesterday questioned why the money was now required up front. BFA general secretary David Sabir responded yesterday by saying: "The Bermuda Football Association understands and accepts that Paget Community Football Club finds the decision to omit them from the FA Cup this season harsh.
"The decision by the BFA was not deliberately aimed at PCFC.
"This decision is in compliance with the restructuring recommendations agreed upon by the affiliates that any club failing to settle their outstanding balance with the association will not be allowed to participate in the upcoming FA Cup. We have met with and reiterated this position with officials from PCFC.'' Today's Commercial Division match between Prison Officers and North Village Rams at Malabar Field has been postponed and rescheduled for November 13 at the same venue.
