(Match abandoned at half-time) Fighting and arguing among themselves became so intense during the interval that coach Fred (Pinks) Lewis was forced to withdraw Social Club from this First Division match at Bernard Park yesterday, leaving referee Ralph Tumbridge with no choice but to abandon the game.

In absorbing the relentless St. George's attacks, Social Club became frustrated and on the field arguments among themselves were later carried over to the dressing room where the arguing escalated to fighting.

It was then that coach Lewis advised the referee that his team would not be appearing for the second half.

Dejuan Panter opened the scoring for the Islanders after just eight minutes and further misery for Paget came in the 25th and 30th minutes as Kennan Butterfield and Otis Minors added two more for the visitors.
