The result might have been much closer had not CedarBridge wasted many good opportunities near the basket.

However, there was never a question as to who was the better team as St Andrew's opened up a sizable lead early in the contest, leading 15-4 at the end of the first quarter and 35-10 at the half.

Bermudian Kevin Richards and Josh Kelson led the winners with 11 points apiece. Jason Lowe led the losers with eight.

In the third place match, Saltus defeated Mount Saint Agnes 66-35. Saltus only led by six at the end of the first quarter but John Correia exploded for ten points in both the second and third quarters. MSA had no answer to Correia, who finished the game with an amazing 33 points.

Dion Woodley led the losers with six points.

MSA had opened the tournament last Friday with CedarBridge edging past them 36-31. Sean DeSilva's three point shooting in the second and fourth quarters kepts MSA in the game and he finshed with 12 points to Lowe's seven.

Saltus seemed to be intimidated by the bigger and faster St Andrew's squad in their opening match and the Canadians forced a 30-10 half-time lead.

The Bermudian school's players settled down a bit in the second half making something of a comeback to finish losers by 46-29. Correia again led the home side with eight points while Nick Ivandic led the winners with 17.

St Andrew's defeated CedarBridge 61-42 as Ivandic notching 14, while Saltus defeated MSA 64-56. Correia once again led Saltus with 17, while Phillip Rego scored 14 points. Woodley led the losers with 17.

Saltus met CedarBridge on Sunday with a place in the finals at stake and it turned out to be the best match of the weekend, with the latter scraping by with a 53-52 overtime win.

Dennis Joell led CedarBridge with 11 while Correia poured in 24 more. Also on Sunday, St Andrew's waltzed past MSA 66-38.
