Tournament which saw Upstarts, in their first ever final, taking on league champions Chameleons.

But anyone who thought this was going to be a walkover for the league titleholders were sorely mistaken.

In a tense, hard fought first half, it was Upstarts who took the game to their opponents and created several chances on goal which they were unlucky not to convert.

Chameleons, however, got into their stride and they too had opportunities at goal only to find Upstarts goalkeeper Mike Foster in great form.

With the game scoreless at half-time, there was everything to play for after the break and the second half saw play swing from end to end.

But it was Chameleons who finally broke through when Steve Moreton slotted the ball home after a deflection off the Upstarts keeper's pads.

Upstarts, however, didn't fold and continued to attack in search of an equaliser. But time wasn't on their side and Chameleons came away the winners, ending the season with the coveted double.

ROAD RUNNING RUN Bermuda Track and Field Association will be staging their annual End to End Relay next Sunday (April 29) with a slight change in the course.

Rather than finishing at Dockyard, this year's relay will end at Somerset Long Bay.

The five-leg race begins at 9.00 a.m. from St. George's Square with the first runners completing a three-mile dash to the airport roundabout. Three legs of four miles each will follow with the final leg now reduced to 2.8 miles from six miles.

BTFA's vice-president of road running, Roger Lambert, said this year's changes were to encourage more younger athletes to compete.

Prizes are on offer for the overall team winners and for the fastest runners on each leg.

Entry forms are available in the various local sports shops.

CRICKET CRI Willow Cuts will host a pre-season double wicket competition at Royal Naval Field today featuring four west end clubs.

Starting at 11.00 a.m., the event will involve Cuts, Somerset CC, Somerset Bridge and Commercial League team Watford Sports Club.
