Skippered by Andreas Lewin, Contest compiled an impressive long weekend of results and probably moved into top spot in the overall Coronation Cup standings in racing at Mangrove Bay.
Official standings were not available last night.
Yesterday, Contest was second in the Gilbert Bowl behind Echo and then took first in the Cambridge Bowl race with a victory over Port Royal . Echo , with Martin Siese at the helm, was third in the second race while Port Royal was third in the first.
Challenger and Elizabeth sank in the breezy opening race but the wind died out to start the second, prompting crew members to dive overboard.
A day earlier, Contest won the BMMA Match Racing Regatta, which is not part of the Coronation Cup series. Contest won all five races, including the final one over previously unbeaten Port Royal .
Prize money of $2,000 was up for grabs.
