Crane had more first place finishes, but was saddled with two fifths -- one of which she used as a discard -- which allowed Lines to claim the top spot with seven and a half points, compared to nine and a quarter for Crane.

Travis Tucker (14) and Alexander Kirkland (143 ), likewise showed promise in placing third and fourth respectively.

This Sunday will see the final races of the year, followed by a prize presentation ceremony at the Royal Bermuda Yacht Club.

SQUASH SQU Kempe & Whittle's `C' team emerged victorious in the inaugural A.F.Smith Corporate Team squash tournament held at the Devonshire courts over the weekend, scoring an emphatic 6-0 win over BNTB Flyers in the championship final. Kempe & Whittle had got past Almost Civil Servants 5-3 in the semi-finals while Flyers had beaten AS&K Court Jesters 4-2.

The consolation final was won by BNTB Bombers, 4-2 over Bank of Bermuda C. A total of 32 teams entered the event.

NETBALL NET Two make-up games have been added to this Saturday's Bermuda Netball Association schedule -- Olympic Panthers against 7-Up Netts at 1.00 p.m.

followed by Aico against PCC at 2.30 p.m.. Both games will be played at Northlands Secondary School.
