For the losers, Ritchie Foggo and Elliott Pitcher had solid batting performances with Foggo going five-for-five with two homers, two doubles and six runs batted in and Pitcher hitting a homer, three doubles and driving home six runs.

Butterfield and Steinhoff beat Powerscourt 24-8 behind winning pitcher Steve Green. Dan Kenyon took the loss.

Dan Koshowski, Andy Yonda and Trevor Brookes each went three-for-three for the victors while Maxine Calsey and Brett Kohli did likewise for the losers.

AIM hammered Artic Penguins 26-0 with Al James, Mike McGuinnes, Fraser Gray and Chris Dickson each going three-for-four. Ken McDonald was the winning pitcher and Derek Smith the loser.

Wednesday's results: Kempe & Whittle beat Centre Re 25-11, PTB beat Arthur Anderson 25-16, Sandys Sports Club beat Marsh & McLennan 28-6.

Tuesday's results: Sousa's beat Team Fashion 20-5, Imperials beat Bobcats 25-15 and Police beat Robin Hood 17-2.

Sunday's revised match sees Powercourt playing Artic Penguins at 3 p.m.

MOTOCROSS SCR The motocross version of the triple crown will be contested on Sunday when the Bermuda Auto Cycle Union stages the seventh annual Brian Castle Memorial at Coney Island.

The event, sponsored by the Castle family, is held in memory of Brian who was a former 125 Novice rider.

The competition, which is the third trophy race of the season, is the final chance for two riders -- Kemo Simons of the 80cc class and Aaron Pace of the 125B class -- to make a clean sweep of them all.

All of the top riders in the respective classes, including each of the current divisonal leaders, are expected to participate. HARNESS RACING RAH A new pony will make its debut on Sunday when the Bermuda Driving Horse and Pony Club holds its regular race day at Vesey Street tomorrow.

Miss Saigon is a two-year-old owned by the Roque's Stables and will be driven by Edward Roque. She has just been timed at 1:37 which puts her in the slowest bar.

Flame On, who was the Boxing Day two-year-old stakes winner, will be back with new driver Eddie Moniz who will be making his debut.

LOCAL SOCCER SOC The Meyer Agencies Commercial League Cup semifinals will take place on Monday night.

At BAA field, Forties face KPMG in the Group A opener at 7 p.m., while Robin Hood tackle Island Rangers in the nightcap (9 p.m.).

In Group B play at Devonshire Rec., North Village Rams and Devonshire All-Stars clash at 7 p.m., while Fire Service and St. George's All-Stars similarly face off at 9 p.m.

SNOOKER SNO Queens I and Old Colony Club II advanced to the finals of this year's Gosling Cup, with the latter shocking a favoured Sandys Sports Club II in their encounter.

Colony's S.Moniz took the first frame against Frank DeSilva to give them the early lead, but Tony DeSilva and Greg Falzone put Sandys back in command by seizing the next two.

The situation appeared ominous for Colony with Sandys' leading duo of Lawrence DeSilva and Roger Henderson still to perform, however, the `sky' was cleared as Roland Skinner and Henry Kaye prevailed, allowing the Second Division team to gain the final 3-2.

Meanwhile, Queens had little difficulty in getting past Sandy Boat Club 3-1, with Stephen Roberts notching a 34-break to lead the way.
