Rebounding from a shock loss at the hands of Warwick a week ago were Nationals, who dumped St. George's Dinghy and Sports Club 4-2.

Tyler Moniz, Paul Charleton and Brian Walker delivered singles wins for Nationals and the tandem of Moniz and Walker added a doubles triumph as well.

Meanwhile, Sandys were having their way against Warwick, strolling to a 4-0 lead as Lawrence DeSilva, Greg Falzone, Tony DeSilva and Roger (Sticks) Henderson grabbed singles wins.

But they then squandered both doubles matches, although the result was already decided.

Old Colony Club I rounded out the string of 4-2 scorelines, defeating Queens Club I behind a stellar performance from Dave McLean which earned him First Division player-of-the-week honours.

In Second Division play, Spanish Point whitewashed Old Colony Club 6-0, Old Colony Club II blasted Police 5-1 as S.A.Moniz was named player of the week and Sandys Boat Club tied Queens Club II 3-3.

The Gosling Trophy semi-finals to be held on Wednesday will pit Sandys Sports Club against Queens Club I and Nationals against Sandys Boat Club at Old Colony Club (7.30 p.m.).

Meanwhile, in the Bermuda Open slated for tonight at Old Colony Club Chris Dakin meets Terry Southern at 7.30 and Stephen Roberts goes against David DeSilva at 9.00.

GOLF GLF Bermuda Golf Association will hold their monthly medal at Port Royal on Saturday. Members wanting to play should confirm their entry with secretary Tom Smith on 238-1367 no later than 6.00 p.m. today.

Meanwhile, entries are now being accepted for the Men's Amateur Championship to be played at Mid Ocean Club from March 14 to 18. The handicap limit is 10 and the entry cut-off date March 1.
