and Robin Hood Trophy finals in the rugby season's finale at Nationals.

The second teams will play at 2 p.m. for the Robin Hood Trophy after Teachers defeated Renegades and Police were given a bye last weekend.

The first teams will play at 4 p.m. for the Nichol Shield after Teachers defeated Renegades and Police defeated Mariners.

Teachers' first team have had the upper hand this year, breezing through the Beck's League undefeated and winning additional silverware in the Sandys Boat Club Tournament, the President's Cup match, the Denton Hurdle Memorial match and the Halbro Ten-a-side Tournament.

But their loss came in the Seven-a-side tournament at BAA against Police who earned a win and a draw against the Reds and won the rest of their matches to win that tournament.

Police also won the Duckett Memorial match against the Rest in convincing form and are arguably the "in'' side at the moment following their convincing win against Mariners in the semi-finals and Teachers less-than-convincing win over Renegades.

Teachers captain Henry Adderley said: "We have had a really good year and the team has played some really good rugby along the way.

"But I would be lying if I did not admit that I have had one eye on the Nichol Shield all year following last season's loss to Police. It was tough to lose the Shield after having such a good run in the league last year.

"This year has proved to be almost similar to last year in the lead up to this point and, in a way, it is fitting that we get to meet Police again.

"The guys in the team seem really up for Sunday's match and appear ready to end the season on a high note. Our disappointing performance against Renegades in the semi-final looks to have shaken away any complacency felt amongst the players after such a good league season so I am looking forward to us playing our best game yet.

"We have had some good wins against Police throughout the course of the season but that means nothing now. Judging by their last couple of performances, they are clearly the in-form team at the moment. They have a good blend of experience and athleticism in their side.'' National team stalwarts Alan Oliver, Gareth Davies and Sean Field keep the Police team steady while Warren Bundy, Alex Rollins and Tom Steinhoff will be among their most potent offensive threats.

Adderley went on: "We are looking good going into the weekend with only a couple of injuries and a couple of absentees through other commitments. We will be looking for big games from everyone, particularly those who admitted they performed poorly last weekend. Everyone realises this is their last chance ot get everything clicking together and finish off the season with a good performance.

"Our second team also looks strong at this point so we are ready, at this point, to field two decent sides on Sunday. The second teamers are itching to play following the demise of their league this year and this showed in the way they attacked the field last weekend.''
