The two round-robin groups were closely contested and Campbell/Stone-Wigg and Alderdice/Furtado won their respective groups to advance to the final.
The best-of-three final saw Stone-Wigg overcome a 15-point handicap to narrowly beat Furtado in the first game. A very nervous Alderdice went into the second game needing a win but was unable to stem the tide against Campbell as the match was decided in two games.

CHESS CHS The first round Gypsum Tournament got under way with 14 players competing for the top prize over a six-week period.
A large number of the big names are missing with eight regular players taking part in the World Chess Olympiad in Manila, Philippines. But newcomer David Arorash showed that he has something to offer as he held Richard Swift to a draw in a well-fought encounter.
Swift entered with a rating of 1,897, 470 points higher than Arorash. However, he found his opponent to be quite capable.

GOLF GLF Port Royal's team of Leroy Burch, Henry Ascento, Glenn Robinson and Malcolm Burgess and the Triangles team of Calvin Hendrickson, Cleveland Tucker, Rudy Cann and Edward Tucker were the net and gross winners of the Beck's Golf Tournament at Ocean View on the weekend.
Port Royal had a net score of 119 to beat second-placed Ocean View (Kenny Bean, Terry-lynn Calderon, Millard Beach and Norriette Fox) by five strokes.
H&A Enterprise, consisting of C.Dill, G.Furbert, K.Wilson and R.Douglas were a further stroke back in third place on 125.
In the gross division, Triangles shot a 132 to beat out Bernell Martin, Dennis Jones, Ambrose Darrell and Randy Richardson, representing Ocean View II, by one stroke. D.Smith, W.Usher, G.Burch and G.Durham of the Boat Club II finished third on 138.
ROAD RUNNING RUN The runway at the US Naval Air Station will be used as the course for a 5-K race set to take place on July 1.
The flat course is expected to produce some fast times, and organisers are hoping for a strong turn-out.
Registration forms are now available at the Sportseller and the Pro Shop.
T-shirts will be handed out to the first 100 registered runners and there will be separate prizes for age group winners.
The race is sponsored by the US Naval Air Station Fire Department.

CRICKET CRI Dwayne Leverock hit a career-best 138 to lead Police to a 136-run win over Devonshire Rec. in a First Division match on Saturday. Scores: Police 224-7 declared, Devonshire Rec. 88.
Police captain assisted Leverock with an unbeaten 44. Leon Place took six for 56 for Devonshire. Leverock then completed the rout of his former team by taking two wickets from only seven balls.
There will be an umpires meeting at the Department of Youth, Sport and Recreation tonight (7.00).
BASEBALL BAS The 1992 Youth Athletic Organisation All-Star Game will be played at the NAS Bermuda Annex on June 27 starting at 10 a.m.
The trophy presentation for all the teams will be made on June 28 at 2 p.m. in front of the YAO concession stand.
SOCCER SOC Devonshire Colts will hold their annual general meeting on June 29 at the Pembroke Community Centre (7.30 p.m.).
