Horseman and crew hook top trophy
Reggie Horseman and his crew aboard Equalizer topping the scales.
But two previous postponements took their toll with only 56 fish -- from only 17 boats -- weighing in.
Under the new five-best-fish rule, Equalizer -- Horseman, Mike Fletcher, Gerry Sowerby, Max Todd and James Fletcher -- weighed in with a total of 202.6 points (at one point per pound).
That gave them overall honours as high-point boat and the Bacardi Rum Trophy, plus the Class C (Professional) Trophy. David Soares and his crew on Eureka were second with 166.4 points.
The high-point Class A Trophy went to Bobby Rego and Sandpiper for the second year in a row. Their 144.1 points included the largest fish of the day, a 93.4-lb yellowfin tuna that Rego landed on a 50-pound test.
Top boat in Class B was Jeness , with owner Albert Jenkins landing one blackfin tuna and one yellowfin totalling 45.9-lbs.
Topping the individual anglers was Sowerby, who boated two wahoos and a blackfin totalling 112.5-lbs.
Once again, Cindy Foggo took the female angler award with two yellowfins totalling 57.4-lbs.
