Craig Prall was the man of the hour with a home, three doubles and four RBI in going four-for-four. He was assisted by winning pitcher Mark Kaplan who went three-for-four with a homer and three RBI. and Nigel Godfrey who went three-for-three. Losing pitcher Paul Thorne drove in both Fidelity's runs.

The opener saw Snowballs top Sandys Sports Club 19-11 with Mario Valcourt and Blake Fizzard both going four-for-five with a homer and five RBI. David DeSilva went four-for-four with a homer, three doubles and four RBI for Sandys. Tum Kurdirka was the winning pitcher and Terry Corday the loser.

The nightcap saw ACT beat Robin Hood 12-3. Richard Davidge went two-for-four with a home, a triple and two RBI while John Robbins went two-for-two for ACT.

Scott Corday was the winning pitcher and Rick Olson the loser.

On Monday, Terry West drove in eight runs to lead Bobcats to a 22-4 drubbing of Bacardi Bats.

West went four-for-four with a homer and a doubles and had assistance from Ian Gilbertson (three-for-three, four RBI); Simon Onabowale (three-for-three (three RBI) and Mike Strohoffer (two-for-three, two RBI).

Tony Readwin was the winning pitcher and Ianthia Butler the loser. The second game was also a blow-out as PALMS crushed Team Fashions 23-10.

Larry King hit for the cycle in going five-for-five with six RBI while Shirley Nusum went three-for-three with a homer and four RBI. Curtis DeGraff went three-for-four with two RBI.

Roberta Clarke was the winning pitcher while the loser was Chris Montgomery, who went two-for-two for Fashions.

CROSS-COUNTRY CC Berkeley Institute literally ran away with team honours in the Secondary Schools Boys Cross-Country Championships at Prospect yesterday.

In addition to successfully defending their titles in the under-15 and over-15 divisions, Berkeley also managed to win the under-13 category for a clean sweep.

The most outstanding performance was in the under-15 category where they placed eight runners in the top 10.

In the over-15 division, Berkeley were equally impressive with five of the top 10 including winner Quennell Robinson and runner-up Sharif Taylor.

The under-13 division was most closely contested with Warwick Academy's Darron Mallory winning from schoolmate Mark Constable.

The Bermuda Schools Sports Federation is providing no timekeeping service for cross-country this year because of changing courses.

Today at 1 p.m., the primary schools take their turn at St. George's Golf Club.

BOWLING BOW Tomp's Towing rolled the night's high game of 991 last Thursday but that was not enough to stop them from going down to a 20-10 defeat to Gosling's.

Gosling's had the second high game of 972 and second high series of 2,708 in putting together a good team effort.

Stevedoring Services crushed Spoilers 25-5 with Roger Raynor turning in the top series of 624 and second high game of 246 to lead his team to the third high series of 2,693.

League leaders Tools & Equipment beat a determined Team Spirit side 20-10 with the third game ending in a tie.

Franklin Travel slipped past Signature Card despite Loddy Holder's top game of 256 and third high series of 610.

The final match had Marlboro roll past New Mix Ups 24-6 with Chris Bardgett bowling the third high game of 243 and second high series of 618. Marlboro had the top series of 2,710 and third high game of 967.

Cliff Maxwell had a 593 second high series and third high game of 238 to lead Buy and Sell to a 22-5 victory over Social Club in the Mott's Sportsmen's Bowling League on Saturday.

Dudley Browne had a good night for Mini Forwarders with a high series of 599 but he still could not help them from being defeated 22-5 by Sparks for whom Mike Lambe had a 585 third high series and top game of 259. Sparks also got help from Hank Rawlins who shared second high game honours of 244.

Warwick Whites beat Warwick Reds 17-10 with Lionel Dowling rolling the joint second game high of 244 while Pembroke Juniors trimmed Young Blood 18-9.

League action will resume on February 20.

DARTS DRT St. George's Dinghy and Sports Club II caused the big upset in last Friday's women's darts league action when they beat RAA 4-3.

The result knocked RAA out of first place leaving BAA to go top after beating St. George's DSC I 5-2.

St. George's DSC II's Ruth Holder handed Dawn Bealing her first loss and Bea Hayward dealt Terry Cartwright her second loss, though she is still the top ton-getter, tie with BAA's Jean Clark who had six in her last outing.

Other matches on Friday saw BPSA beat Hamilton Parish 5-2, East End Mini Yacht Club get by Spanish Point Boat Club 5-2 and Police East nip Mariners 4-3.

There will be a committee meeting tonight at St. George's Dinghy and Sports Club (8.00).

CRICKET CRI The Golden Oldies will hold a meeting at Devonshire Recreation Club today at 6.30 p.m.

All members of the senior national training squad are requested to attend a meeting today at the BCBC office at 6 p.m.

National Sports Club will hold a training session on Sunday (10 a.m.) for all players and anyone else interested in joining the team for the upcoming season.

RUGBY RUG The 33rd annual Whitney Sevens tournament will take place today at the Whitney Institute starting at 1 p.m.

Three schools -- Saltus, Whitney, Warwick -- will compete in three age groups with play slated to kick off at 1 p.m.
