Charlie Marshall has taken up the same position with St. George's Cricket Club in a stunning move.

Marshall, who is also the current skipper of the Bermuda senior national team, replaces Herbie Bascome who just yesterday afternoon announced that he had decided to resign as club skipper.

Marshall's move is a surprise as it comes after he revealed that he had stepped down as skipper of Bay to commit himself fully to Bermuda's busy international cricket programme this summer, including the ICC Trophy in Toronto in June.

St. George's secretary Neil Paynter said after a meeting last night: "Herbie Bascome has stepped down and Charles Marshall has been confirmed as our league skipper for the season.''
