golf career to lift the Mid Ocean Club Men's Invitation junior matchplay title yesterday.

In a morning semi-final Marshall scored a two and one victory over fellow Bermudian Robert Vallis, generally acknowledged as one of the Island's top three amateur players.

And in the afternoon final he scored a convincing four and two victory over defending champion Doug Clark from North Carolina.

Clark had earlier disposed of fellow countryman Will Fuller three and one in the other semi-final.

In the senior championship, Dick Stimets from Maryland proved too good for local veteran Jack Wahl, winning eight and seven.

Yesterday's matches brought to a conclusion the annual week-long event which this year attracted a field of more than 100 players from six differemnt countries.
