Marshall still in charge
the Bermuda Football Association's AGM at Warwick Workman's Club last night.
At the end of a short and uneventful meeting Marshall, who last year replaced Donald Dane as president, said that one of his main goals was to continue working on Bermuda's World Cup commitments and concentrating on improving the "domestic'' programme.
"I also hope to encourage more participation by the players and spectators so that everybody can come out and enjoy soccer. We must bring about a policy of discouraging drug and profanity abuse and once this is accomplished it should encourage the public to come out,'' said Marshall.
He admitted that the BFA experienced a slight operating deficit for the year, "but we seem to at least be making headway as far as improving our finances,'' he said.
The election marked the first time in many years that everybody was returned, including the directiors and club representatives.
Results of the election: Charlie Marshall, president; Richard Thompson, first vice president; Elroy Ratteray, second vice president; Kent Bascome, treasurer. Directors: Gil DeSouza, Dr. Gerard Bean, Kenneth Perinchief, Carlton Dill, Gregory Grimes. Club Representatives: Fred Lewis, Anthony Paynter, Allan Peacock and Mark Trott.
CHARLIE MARSHALL -- Second term as president.
