Max Atherden collected eight points -- to be used towards team selection for the World Amateur Team Championships in France in 1994 -- for his win in the
Atherden shot a 74 to finish a stroke ahead of both Bill Pitt, Jr. and Malcolm Burgess who were both awarded five points. Dave Purcell and Trevor Gilchrist tied for fourth on 76 and each received one point.
Points are being awarded for the first four places in each BGA medal round.
Cisco Gordyk defeated Allen DeSilva four and three in the championship final while John Noble stopped Morris Simons one-up in the consolation final of the Belmont Bowl on Sunday.
