HARNESS RACING RAH Another capacity crowd at the Vesey Street track saw the `Crown Prince' Eddie The Great (the three-year-old stakes winner) usurp the `Reigning Monarch' Nateway in both heats of the free for all on Sunday.
Eddie The Great, driven by Keith Woodley, had the advantage of the rail position with Catch A Fire and Ed Matthews in number two hole and Nateway with Michael DeCosta on the outside.
Nateway, the track record holder, and Catch A Fire put up an incredible fight but just could not get past Eddie The Great.
In the A Division of the junior free for all, it was Mowtown Scott, driven by Eddie Roque that reigned supreme in both heats. They started in pole position and led all the way.
Little Dinger, with Annie Sousa, was trapped on the rail by Sandacre Tashiba, with Eddie Skaters, but in an exciting finish just managed to get a nose in front of Tashiba with Hoe Down Don and Daniel Greenslade coming in fourth. The second heat was a virtual rerun of the first heat.
In the B Division of the junior free for all, JB's TW Bell with Fernando Rego continued their winning streak, making it six wins in a row. In the first heat, Tina's Princess driven by Fernando's son Anthony made an excellent challenge on TW Bell but was beaten by a whisker.
In the second heat, it was V Six and Eddie Roque that challenged TW Bell but did not make it at the wire.
There was a big upset in the A Division of the 1:16-1:18/4 bar with two ponies racing out of their bar. Pleasant Surprise with Worrell Bean and Sandtrap with John Flood both go into the junior Free for all.
The B Division of the 1:16-1:18/4 bar saw Bermuda Warrior with Maury Terceira continue on his winning streak, clocking up two wins against a gallant effort of Misty's Little Dream and Starfire Abbe.

The second heat was a disaster for the youngster Just a Gigolo. JB's Easter Prize with Nicholas DeCosta came in second in the second heat with Gigolo trailing in at a distant third.
MOTOCROSS SCR This past weekend brought a new track design and a new attitude for those involved in the Pepsi Motocross National Championships at Coney Island.
Competition was keen with several close finishes among the five classes.
Top 80cc rider Kemo Simons in particular sparkled with two wins before suffering and broken bearing in the final race, allowing current points leader Chris Maxwell to take the top spot.
Another Maxwell, Leroy, celebrated his first ever race win in the 125cc `C' Class ahead of Devon Moss who came back to capture a first and third in the remaining motos.
Among the 125cc `B' riders, Aaron Pace again stood tallest recording a hat-trick of wins over rivals Gary Simons, Justin Belboda and Malcolm Raynor.
Simons led in the early stages of two of the races only to be reeled in by the ever efficient Pace.
Meanwhile Duprey Joell was at his scintillating best scrambling across the line first in two of the three races. Robert Smith took honours in the other moto.
There will be a meeting on Thursday at Admiralty House for all BACU members.
SOFTBALL SOF There was thunder at Bernard Park on Sunday night...not from above, but the boom from balls being launched off the bats of Aico and Arthur Anderson as the teams hooked for an explosive Commercial Softball League battle.

Janet Thomas was a perfect three-for-three with two RBI and Terry Thomas contributed five RBI to pace Aico, while Wes Toavs had a four-for-five night and Tony Cordeiro blasted two home runs in a losing cause for Arthur Anderson.
St. David's were returned to earth following their 30-8 shellacking of Bobcats in their last match as Bacardi Bats treated them with equal disdain in recording a 22-10 win.
Three hits apeice by Eloy Castroverde and Dan Doyon manufactured four runs for Barcardi and more than offset James Pace's three-for-four, two RBI performance for the Islanders.
The night's other match saw Tropical Breezers ride the tails of a five RBI exhibition by Dean Douglas to a 21-7 hiding of Sousa's Lawncare.

RUGBY UNION RUG Teachers remain unbeaten at the top of the Second XV Amstel League after Renegades handed them the game 12-10 by virtue of their own mistakes behind their goal-line.
In the first half Teachers' flanker Eddie Tarn scored an opportunist try after charging down Martin Jinks over his own try-line and then Tony Roach turned the feat, with Jinks again the unfortunate victim, to score the equalising try in the second half.
Peter Booth made the only conversion of the day producing a rather lucky win for Teachers, even though Renegades had most of the territorial advantage and scored two good tries.
Renegades best try was one by Nick Elwig who ran down the touchline beating three defenders.
New boy Doug Hasselbring was the star of the Mariners team in a 24-3 win over Police with two excellent tries, the second one after a determined straight run from 50-yards out breaking several tackles.
Unfortunately, Police had no answer to the bursting power of Hasselbring, Alec Roberts and Rod Carruthers even though they had an equal amount of possession.
Mariners doubled their halftime score of 12-0 with tries by Roberts and John Weale with Steve Phillips converting two tries.
For Police Andy Wright kicked a penalty.
