New cup dates fine by Bermuda
weeks to April 16 will probably be good for us.
It gives us extra time to work on fitness with the squad and polish the things we are trying to do with the team.
And the same date change has allowed the last day of the league programme to be brought forward to next Sunday.
That should help us as well. The championship still has to be decided and the threat of relegation is hanging over some of the national team players as well.
Getting the club issues out of the way on Sunday will allow our players to concentrate fully on the World Cup campaign.
Whether we will have Shaun Goater and Kyle Lightbourne for the Antigua tie is still to be decided. I have spoken to Shaun on the phone and I understand that he's in a tough situation.
It's very tight in the First Division promotion race and Shaun seems to be the one who keeps getting the goals for Manchester City so obviously they will be keen to keep him.
I'll be talking to Kyle soon as well. He has a chance to play for Stoke City at Wembley on April 16 and I understand that's every player's dream.
Of course, we would love to have them both, but they have got important things to do and we understand that. We'll have to try and make the best decision for the country and for the players.
Our Olympic team fly out to Panama this weekend to play in qualifying matches against Panama and Cuba next week.
If you get involved in a tournament of that magnitude, you have to be prepared to play against strong teams. And if they go out there confident and with the right attitude and they get a few lucky breaks, they will do well.
From what I have seen of the under-23 players, I've been very impressed. They seemed to have benefited greatly from the Florida tour.
On Sunday, I saw PHC beat Somerset 3-0. The title's now in PHC's hands and it just depends on how much they really want to win it. They know all they have to do is go out there and beat Wolves on Sunday.
