No rest for today's winners

final of the Dudley Eve Trophy when they clash in the losers' semifinal today at Southampton Oval (2.30).

Colts stayed in the competition by beating North Village on penalty kicks on Boxing Day while PHC lost 2-0 to Somerset.

Neither Colts nor PHC have been able to field their strongest team in the competition and while the Trojans have the day off to watch the team they will meet in the final, both Colts and PHC face the prospects of a damanding schedule for the rest of the week.

For while the losers will have some consolation in at least being able to rest up until Sunday when they meet again in the first match of the second round of the league, the winners will take on the Trojans in the two-leg final on Wednesday and Friday and then play a league match on Sunday -- five matches in eight days! Colts, with Ellington Weldon back from injury, have a slight edge over the Zebras who have missed Mike Dill in defence. However, the Zebras, who have won almost as many finals as Somerset have lost, cannot be counted out. PHC have won the cup five times in all, including three straight years between 1988-91.
