Jacobsen, winner of five 1995 PGA tour events, will be replaced by Mark O'Meara in the $600,000 event to be hosted by Mid Ocean Club.

O'Meara was a two-time winner this year, having seized both the Honda Classic and Bell Canadian Open. His money earnings of $780,729 place him 14th on this year's money list and give him career earnings of close to $6,000,000.

The strain of playing in the Ryder Cup was said to be one reason why Jacobsen pulled out.
