Diel and her partner Karen Oldham, of Ohio, finished level with Jan Marshall, also of Bermuda and partner Flossie Parks, of North Carolina, after 54 holes of the best-ball competition but lost in the play off. However, they picked up the gross title, finishing eight shots ahead of runners-up Jean Mylrea and Ginette Spinucci.
