Pitt, Ascento stretch lead
with a blistering five-under-par 66 on the second day of the men's Bermuda Four Ball Championships at Port Royal yesterday.
Added to a first round 68, Pitt and Ascento's low score of the day stretched their overall lead to three shots over former two-time winners Dennis Connors and Dan Rourke of the US, who kept in touch with a four-under 67.
Six shots off the pace in third place are Blake Marshall and David Ezekiel who matched their opening round score with another one-under-par 70.
Meanwhile, locals Alisa Hardy and Madeline Joell stamped their authority on the women's championship with a first round 74 yesterday.
That gave them a five shot lead over another Bermuda pair, Jean Mylrea and Shirley Wildi (79).
Both championships continue at Port Royal today and conclude tomorrow.
