Prison Farm one win away from title
six-a-side double elimination tournament.
This evening at 6.00 they meet St. George's All-Stars, who they beat 1-0 in the winners bracket 1-0 last week to reach the final. With All-Stars having already lost one game, Prison Farm need only to win the 6.00 o'clock final to wrap up the title.
An All-Stars victory would send the match into a second and deciding final (6.30) as both teams would then have lost one match.
Paul Williams scored the deciding goal against All-Stars to reach the final but the latter bounced back to beat Pro-Landscaping 2-1 and book the other spot. Hubert Wade and Calvin Richardson scored for All-Stars while Steven Denbrook netted for Pro Landscaping.
Earlier Pro Landscaping beat Air Services of Bermuda 1-0 on a goal by Denbrook while St. George's Colts beat Co-ed Facility 1-0 thanks to a Herbie Bascome strike. Landscaping then got by St. George's Colts 2-1 with goals from Anthony Darrell and Wesley Tucker with Kenneth Wade replying for Colts.
St. George's Colts have begun pre-season training with sessions every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday at Garrison Field at 6.15 and Sunday mornings at Wellington Oval at 8.15.
BOWLING BOW The Continental League will be holding a meeting for all team captains on Monday, August 26 at Warwick Lanes, starting at 7.30 p.m.
