defeats tonight when they meet in a Friendship Trophy tie at PHC Stadium.

Rangers suffered their first loss of the season when Devonshire Colts came from behind to beat them 2-1 on Friday night, while Boulevard's inconsistent start to the season continued with a 2-0 defeat to PHC on Sunday.

That made it three losses in four matches for the Blazers, including one to Rangers.

The two teams are evenly balanced and whoever makes the most of their chances should emerge the winner -- a department in which the Rangers have a slight edge.

In Ascento Russell they have a proven scorer and the return of Rohaan Simons and Pernell Brangman, who missed Friday's match, should enable last season's top club scorer, Janeiro Tucker, to join Russell in attack.

Despite the loss to Colts, Rangers still head the First Division standings, after Vasco also suffered their first league loss.

Boulevard's start to this season is similiar to that of last year, when they drew seven of their first eight matches. In the middle of that they managed to beat Rangers 2-0 in the Friendship, on their way to the semi-finals where they lost to Colts.

In tonight's Shield opener, Wolves take on BAA. Both teams suffered defeats to eventual winners Paget last season.

Wolves should be slight favourites tonight but this, too, should be a close match between two mid-table teams.
