Led by physical education teacher Jon Beard, embarking on his ninth such venture, the group will be participating in soccer and basketball, with a total of six games -- six in each discipline -- lined up for the 11 days they are away.

The tour kicks off on Saturday with soccer and basketball games against British sports school Millfield, with which Saltus has long standing connections. The bulk of next week sees games among the Hereford/Worcester area and, after a weekend in London, the boys finish off with games against prestigious Lancing College in Brighton.

Captain of the soccer team will be swimmer Stephen Troake, while Aaron Madeiros heads the basketball squad.

Assisting Beard will be biology instructor Cormae Timothy.
