Police and Bay are unbeaten so far this season and should be favoured over their opponents who have each lost once. Cleveland's success at Police field could hinge on the bowling of Albert Simons who has taken 17 wickets already this season, including six for 41, which sent St. David's crashing to their first loss last weekend at Sea Breeze Oval.

To compete with a powerful Police side Cleveland will also need good contributions from their top batsmen. Opener Wayne Smith has scored just 10 runs in three innings -- two of which were ducks -- since his opening-day knock of 99 while Allan Douglas, batting higher up at number three this season, has also failed to score in two of his last three knocks.

Police's batting is solid with captain Ferdinand Thorne averaging 81.67 from his four knocks so far while Dennis Archer and Tyrone Smith have also been amongst the runs.

St. David's return to Sea Breeze Oval for the second straight week to meet a strong Bailey's Bay side. Charlie Marshall in his first season back with the club, has been Bay's leading batsman so far with knocks of 26, 37, 47 and 56 not out while Noel Gibbons already has 15 wickets to his credit. Last weekend he claimed six for 28 against Somerset.

St. David's only managed to score 90 against Cleveland last weekend but their batting is too strong to suggest they will fall for another low score, even against a stronger Bay bowling attack that also contains Anthony Braithwaite, Clarkie Trott and Ricky Hodsoll.

Another interesting match is at Somerset where the home team entertain champions Devonshire Rec. who only managed to squeeze out a one-wicket win over Southampton Rangers last weekend.

Former champions St. George's will welcome the return of college students Clay Smith and Dean Minors who have a month to settle in before touring England with the Bermuda team. The pair play their first matches today when they play for the Bermuda XI against Somerset in a Cup Match trial.

Tomorrow's match between St. George's and Nationals will be played at Nationals because the Wellington Oval wicket is still grassless, more than a month after being closed for soccer.

Nationals, in this their first home match are still winless. Last weekend's encounter with Hamilton Parish was called off because no umpires showed up.

Southampton Rangers travel to Devonshire Rec. for the second straight week, this time to meet a Flatts side who have scored more than 250 runs in each of their last two matches, with middle-order batsman Brandon Woolridge hitting successive unbeaten half-centuries against Willow Cuts and Warwick.

Western Stars face Willow Cuts at St. John's field while in other matches Warwick entertain Social Club at Southampton Oval and unbeaten Hamilton Parish are away to Somerset Bridge.

FERDINAND THORNE -- Will take an overall average of 81.67 against Albert Simons and Cleveland tomorrow.
